You know @SchwartzsDeli @Reubensmtl and @Lesters_Deli, now discover or rediscover Ben’s at @MuseeMcCord #SouvenirBensMcCord #Montreal #Delicatessen #smokedmeat

Smoked meat is a well-known delicacy in Montreal which has remained practically unchanged since its beginning. We all know Schwartz, Reuben’s, Lester’s and Dunn’s but one of the pioneers of this specialty in Montreal is Ben’s Deli. After almost 100 years of devotion, the Kravitz family had to close their restaurant due to union conflicts, the competition getting stronger and the fight for commercial areas in downtown Montreal. The McCord Museum decided to honor the adventures and passion of the Kravitz family with this dare I say delicious exposition.
