Juicy Couture Spring 2015 Advertising Campaign: Couture Oasis
Juicy Couture took its Spring campaign to Palm Springs to create a sun-soaked fantasy. Edita Vilkeviciute stars as the ultimate Juicy-beauty, clad in Carlyn Cerf de Dudzeele-styled body conscious prints and patterns as she poses poolside. The campaign comes to life in directors Tarik Malak and Timothy Douglas, Juicy Couture’s fashion film, utilizing RED camera and GoPro Hero4 mixing “retro” and high-tech” methods, resulting in a vibrant range of color with striking shadows and highlight.
New ad features the ‘society of elegant persons of the Congo’ otherwise known as the ‘Sapeurs’, a group of everyday heroes from Brazzaville, Republic of the Congo. In this ad, GUINNESS follows the Sapeurs whose way of life is a testament to the belief of putting more in, to get more out. Their life is not defined by occupation or wealth, but by respect, a moral code and an inspirational display of flair and creativity. This is demonstrated through their love of stylish dressing; but it is not the fabric or cost of the suit that counts, it is the worth of the man inside it.
Netflix wants to put content in people’s lives, wherever they want, whenever they want, and in the way they want. Ogilvy creates the first digital outdoor campaign made entirely with reaction GIFs and cleverly puts all the benefits of looking forward to coming home to Netflix into an engaging out of home GIF campaign. Reactive GIFs are designed and managed to be relevantly in context to its viewer’s physical or emotional situation.

This evening dress, made in 1994 by the London couturier Catherine Walker, shows her use of glamour and restrained luxury. Rich, black silk velvet is cut and sewn into a perfect full-length backless sheath suspended from a pearl and diamanté yoke. Both the clinging gown and the Art Deco style jewelled collar were inspired by 1930s evening fashion, but the design is brought wholly up-to-date for 1994 with a dramatic diamanté pendant down the bared back.
This combination of regal elegance and unexpected sparkle clearly shows why Diana, Princess of Wales, favoured dresses by Catherine Walker for nearly fifteen years. The V&A collection also includes the famous pearl-encrusted ‘Elvis’ dress that Catherine Walker made for the Princess in 1989. (see T.1:1&2.2006)

À l’instar d’un Pop Up Show, la 3e édition du Cabinet Éphémère est encore une fois mise en scène par le commissaire Michel Lepage qui propose, à partir de ces collections québécoises, sa vision moderniste et éditoriale dans le contexte de cette institution montréalaise. Le Cabinet Éphémère pourra aussi convier le public à plusieurs événements thématiques autour d’un Grand Carrousel qui exposera en primeur un produit ou une collection.
